Good service and food, the restaurant was very busy but we got in quickly more

The doctor is good and very nice but the office staff are just rude. The place looks really nice but the nurses and receptionists are terrible and don’t provide good service. I was treated there several times and it was always the same rude service and I stopped going there because of it.  more

This agency is good and the typical insurance agency. I have not had major problems when I had to file a claim with them for car insurance. I would say that the office staff can be a bit short with customers at times but service is still provided. They are very quick in returning phone calls and that is awesome. more

City Spotlight

Detroit is the largest city in Michigan and is known as the major port city along the Detroit River. The area is known to be the world's automotive capital of the world and is well known for its musical legacy. What is fondly referred to by automotive fans as 'Motor City' is just as lovingly referred to as 'Motown' by the music fans. There is so much to love about Detroit - let's take just a peek at what this city has to offer.

Fine Arts

Located in Midtown Detroit, you will find the Detroit Institute of the Arts, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, The Detroit Science Center, The Detroit Historical Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit all within walking distance of each other. A few miles west will get you to the Henry Ford Museum, which is the largest outdoor/indoor historical attraction in the world.

Museums

Rather see a show then peruse the museums? They are plentiful in Detroit's Theater District. You can find just about any type of show at either the Bonstelle Theatre, City Theatre, Detroit Film Theatre, Detroit Opera House, Fox Theatre, Fisher Theatre, Meadow Brook Theatre and many, many others.

Music

If you are here for the music, you can get your fix of it live at the Carriage House, where they sing the blues and nothing but the blues. The Holbrook Café is also a great place for live music; in fact it is the largest bar in the area that showcases live music. If you are simply looking for the dive bar experience, they thrive here in Detroit and can be found literally on just about every street corner and everywhere in between. From Gusoline Alley to Honest John's Bar and No Grill, the dive certainly thrives in Detroit.

Soul Food

Along with Motown comes Soul food, and you will find a lot of it here in Detroit as well as Greek, Italian and Seafood. Andiamo's is Detroit's answer to a romantic dinner for two and Morton's is their famous family steakhouse. The winner of many culinary and hospitality awards, the Rattlesnake Club can also be found in Detroit.

Accommodations

Lodging here in Detroit comes in every shape and size just like everything else. So whether you want to spend your vacation evenings at the Holiday Inn or the Hilton or something in between, Detroit has you covered.
