Perfect place for Dinner and a Movie. This neighborhood Coffee, Wine Bar, Movie Theater mecca is the sweetest little hang out. We're so lucky to have business owners like these willing to provide such great amenities for us to enjoy. Thank you Dave & Mara for the Riverview Cafe & Wine Bar. more

This locally owned Coffee Shop and Wine Bar is my favorite haunt. In the cold winter months I can usually find at least one of my neighbors here curled up with a Mocha and a good book or friend. Today I bumped in to 3 neighbors that I haven't seen in months - love this little spot. more

There's a reason why the popular board game Cranium named Minneapolis the 'Most Fun City' in the United States. That could be because it is. Although given little recognition, Minneapolis is home to one of the most diverse, exciting, fun-filled cities on the map and a must-see for families in search of a different kind of vacation.
Minneapolis is the perfect place for children and families to get away and relax. Take a stroll through the Mall of America, the nation's largest retail and entertainment complex. While there make sure to visit the LEGO Imagination Center where you will be regaled with four stories of LEGO excitement including 90 full-size LEGO models of dinosaurs, astronauts and even an animated and interactive tower. And before you leave the sprawling expanse of mall check out the Underwater Adventures Aquarium which is coincidentally the world's largest underground aquarium through which you can view over 4,500 sea creatures and embark on a virtual submarine tour.
And while the Mall is undoubtedly enrapturing with all its fun, eventually you will have to find your way out of the massive complex to explore more of the city with such great and highly underrated cuisine. If you're in the mood for a tasty brunch head over to Cosmos in the Graves 101 Hotel. There you can sample scrumptious breakfast dishes such as their Cranberry Pecan French Toast with vanilla sweetened mascarpone and pear butter or their Lobster Frittata with preserved tomato and spinach. Or if you're taste buds are begging for a filling dinner, stop by 20.21 in the Walker Art Center to sample celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck's newest creations. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu but some house favorites are the Twenty Spice Duck Stir Fry with fresh rice noodles, asparagus and shitake mushrooms or the Crispy Quail with pineapple-black pepper sauce, spicy greens and arugula-pea tendril salad.
After dinner you simply must check out the city's infamous Hennepin Theater district which is home to over 30 venues and 100 plus companies. Visit the Guthrie Theater for Shakespearean greats and classic American productions. Or check out the Children's Theater Company to watch some of the youngest up and coming actors and actresses hone their skills on the big stage.
And if theater simply isn't your thing, there's always a good game going on as Minneapolis is home to five professional sports teams including the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA, the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA, the Minnesota Twins of the MLB, the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL, and the Minnesota Wild of the NHL. Simply take your pick and enjoy a fun-filled day of beer, peanuts and lots of competitive fun.
Regardless of your fancy, Minneapolis is sure to please even the pickiest of patrons. Just one visit and you'll be sure to see what all the fuss is about.
