  • Great food, not just for breakfast I have eaten at Bagel Maven many times. I have eaten in, picked up to take out, and received delivery from Bagel Maven. Their service is efficient, prompt and courtious. The food is always good. Their variety is really great. You can get anything from a salad to a bagel with the fixings, to any kind of salad you can imagine, to a hot main meal with sides. Everything is delicious. Their baked goods and coffee is great, too. This is a great place for breakfast or lunch. It is perfect if you work in the area. They will deliver and are very prompt.

Embarassing Kosher Delight I eat kosher and this place makes me embarrassed to be Jewish! It is a fast food place that charges high-end dining prices. The food is reheated in microwaves, the service is HORRIBLE. You are treated like this is the only Kosher restaurant in the city. The food is terrible. You have to be cautious of a place that offers Middle Eastern, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, etc. all under one roof. Also, I wouldn't step foot back in that place since there was no soap in the restroom which the employees wash their hands. I asked an employee who I met in the bathroom about it and she admitted there was never any soap. EWW!! I complained to the manager and he just said if I don't like it I can eat elsewhere! I'd rather brown bag it, thank you very much.

  • Convenient I shop at Riverdale Kosher Mart, or Noah’s as the locals call it, quite a lot. At least once a week. It has a few good things going for it. First of all, it is part of my shul’s scrip program and they donate a whopping 20% to our shul every time we shop there. That is a significant amount. It also underscores the fact that the place is very overpriced. If it wasn’t part of the program I would try not to shop there as often. The other thing it has going for it is convenience. It is one of 2 Kosher markets in town and it’s very convenient for one-stop-shopping in Riverdale. As I live around the corner, it’s the one I usually shop at. I hear they do good take out. The kids at SAR high school get their sandwiches and some of my friends get their Shabbat food there. They have most everything you need for a kosher home.

  • Clean, beautiful. I have taken my kids to watch the horses at Riverdale Equestrian Center. It is a beautiful place. They are nice about letting people watch. There is parking and it is very accessible. I have friends who have sent their kids for lessons and like it very much.
