The pizza at the Cheese Board is good. High quality ingredients, and ingredients you normally wouldn't find on a pizza, such as pine nuts. They only serve one type of pizza per day, and there's usually a long line of people ordering pizza. It's somewhat pricey; about $20 for a whole pie. There's not too much space to sit inside the restaurant, so people usually sit on the grassy median across the street (technically illegal, but often overlooked). Sitting on the grass where two lanes of cars driving by in both directions while enjoying a slice--- an experience unique to Cheese Board.
In terms of prices for LPs, Rasputin is lower almost always compared to Amoeba down the street. However, its selection is nowhere as large as its main competitor, although still decent. Its selection of everything else (ie CDs) is pretty good. If you go around the corner of the store, they sometimes have a box of free LPs. They're pretty old, and sometimes damaged, but you could find that diamond in the rough.
The rice combo plate of bbq beef, chicken, and spicy bbq beef is pretty good. I'm not sure about the rest of the Korean food served here, but all the items on the menu range from around $7-$10, so it's not too expensive. Cash only, so yeah, bring cash. The nearest Bank of America is several blocks away.
Yes. This is Fentons Creamery, as shown from the movie Up. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a malt shop from the 50s. Their icream and other food is insanely expensive (ice cream is as much as an entree elsewhere, and the real food is around five dollars more than the same food somewhere else.) although the helpings of ice cream are huge. The Fentons Challenge-- eat 3 pounds of ice cream in under 15 min is one of the things they're known for.
Fillmore
1805 Geary Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94115
The Fillmore hosts some great acts-- Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Andrew Bird, to name a couple. The venue is small enough to get close to the artist, which is great. I'd rather pay $35 to get up close than $100 in a nosebleed seat at an arena. It's very easy to get to-- just take the 38 Muni. It's near a lot of restaurants, which is great when having to wait in line for the concert. And the cool part is that you get a free poster after the concert commemorating that night.
